Restoration complete! This is the final part of my Boston Whaler 13 restoration series. I have some amazing drone aerial views of the last boat cruise of the year in this little whaler.

There are also shots of the sea trials we conducted to iron out any issues and make some adjustments. Restoring this Boston Whaler was a lot of work, but definitely worth it. I had a great time, even when I was out on the lake tweaking the engine. All the footage was captured on Shearon Harris Lake in NC.

Flying the drone for the aerial view was both challenging and fun. I plan to share a video in the future of me learning to fly a drone. I practiced using an Eachine E58 drone, which is affordable with inexpensive replacement parts. I didn’t crash it too badly, but there were some memorable collisions! The aerial footage was all captured with a Fimi X8SE 2020 drone and included some impressive “follow me” shots that turned out great (link below). Thankfully, I managed to keep the drone safe from drowning!
